Your Sanctuary is looking to appoint a new Chair of Trustees. Working closely with our CEO, this is an amazing opportunity to make a difference to survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Offering effective leadership to the Board of Trustees, which includes specialists in fundraising, HR, law, finance, safeguarding and business management, you will provide direction and ensure good governance. There is a leadership team in place that manages the day to day operation of the charity. This is a senior volunteering role and you will need to be able to demonstrate strong leadership and management experience with the ability to work strategically. Ideally, you will have previously been involved in the running of a charity and will be familiar with the duties and responsibilities of a Trustee. The Articles of Association require that the Chair is female. If you are passionate about ensuring that survivors of domestic abuse get the best possible services and are able to commit the time to help drive our charity forward then please get in touch. (Due to the nature of this role, it is open to female applicants only and is exempt under Schedule 9 Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.)
