For Circles South East
Circles South East is actively seeking to recruit volunteers for Circles of Support and Accountability in Surrey.
Circles of Support and Accountability are where a group of trained and professionally supervised volunteers form a Circle around a sexual offender (known as the Core Member) living in, or due to be released into, the community. A Circle provides a structured support network to the Core Member whilst holding them accountable for their behaviour. The Circle works in close partnership with the statutory agencies and is managed by a trained professional known as the Circle Coordinator. Research has shown that by helping a sexual offender to reintegrate safely back into the community, risk of re-offending is reduced.
We are looking for adult volunteers of all ages and from all walks of life. Training is provided, and volunteers are supported by the Circle coordinator throughout.
