For Pancreatic Cancer Action
Pancreatic cancer is the UK’s fifth biggest cancer killer. 10,000 people are newly diagnosed each year. Currently only five percent of those diagnosed survive beyond five years.
Pancreatic Cancer Action aims to improve the survival of men and women diagnosed with pancreatic cancer by raising awareness of symptoms and risk factors, funding research into early diagnosis, campaigning for more funding and providing patients with information and support.
We are looking for fundraising and events volunteers to represent the charity at events in their area.
What the role involves:
· Volunteering at events and holding cheering stations
· Promoting your contacts to take part in our bespoke events and challenges such as Striding for Survival and the Cotswolds Way.
Who are we looking for?
Anyone can apply to be a fundraising and events volunteer however these skills and attributes will help in this role.
· Confident communication skills with individuals and groups
· Enthusiastic
· Reliable
