For many people, losing their hair as a result of treatment for cancer can be the most distressing side effect. HeadWrappers is a free service providing practical support for adults experiencing hair loss as a result of cancer treatment.

Hair loss advisors show clients how to make the most of hats, scarves and hair pieces as an alternative to wearing a wig. Clients are also given tips on looking after their hair and scalp before, during and after treatment.

HeadWrappers is delivered in partnership with hospitals, hospices and cancer centers in London and the South East.

We are looking for volunteers to knit two headed dollies to clients who want an aid to explain their hair loss to a young child or grandchild. The dollies have hair on one head and no hair on the upside down head!

Patterns, wool and stuffing are provided. Postage is also paid.
