Are you a dedicated and organised person, passionate about helping others? Join our night-time party and hundreds of other Volunteers at The MoonWalk London on Saturday 18th May 2024 from Clapham Common! Bring your energy and enthusiasm and help us make a difference, by supporting the thousands of Walkers get through the night and raise millions for breast cancer patients and research! We recruit hundreds of Volunteers to make The MoonWalk a safe and enjoyable event; looking after our Walkers as they take to the streets of London overnight, and above all giving them the encouragement they need to complete their epic challenge. Join in the party atmosphere in MoonWalk City on Saturday Evening, with help needed from around 6 PM through till midnight. A busy period when our Walkers and Volunteers arrive en masse, from litter picking, to registering baggage, to handing out Volunteer uniforms or help managing the queues of excited Walkers, there is so much to get involved in! The Night-Time is where the challenge really gets going for our amazing Walkers. If you like the nightlife, marshalling, or giving out water whilst surrounded by London’s famous landmarks, this could be for you! Start times vary between 8 PM and midnight, depending on your role, and last on average 8 hours. We can also offer site-based roles at MoonWalk City throughout the night. Early finishes can of course be requested. Finally, the early morning team take the helm on Sunday Morning, starting between 5-6 AM until midday. Watching the sunrise against a London skyline is quite a sight to see! This truly is the most testing time for our Walkers… whether you join the route or MoonWalk City teams… your kind and motivating words could be all that is needed to get someone across that finish line! On the night you will be provided with training, a t-shirt, cap and free light refreshments. All roles will develop teamwork and confidence, no matter what you do on the night… so why not bring your friends and family along to share this unique experience! So, what are you waiting for?! To join in the fun at this iconic event and Volunteer at the MoonWalk London 2024, we will need you to officially register through our website by visiting https://walkthewalk.org/challenges/volunteering-the-moonwalk-london. We will ask you to fill in a short form to tell us a bit about yourself and confirm your availability for the event. Please note if you are under the age of 18 at the time of the event, you will need to register with a guardian over 18 who will also be Volunteering. Thank you for uniting with us against breast and other cancers!

What skills do I need?

You simply need a positive and hard-working attitude and be willing to help a great cause! In return, you will meet some amazing people, help to raise millions of pounds for breast and other cancers... plus have the most incredible time at one of London’s most iconic events! It really is an opportunity to experience something truly unique, fun, and challenging where you can donate your time and skills. A Virtual Briefing will be held before the event, for you to meet the rest of the lovely Volunteers and Volunteer Team, as well as hear more about what you will get up to on the night! A specific Role Briefing and Volunteer Handbook will also be provided ahead of the night. All Volunteers must be over 13 years old - those between 13 and 17 must be accompanied by a guardian over 18 years old who is also Volunteering.

Saturday Evening Crew – 18th May 2024 Join in the party atmosphere at MoonWalk City, starting around 6 PM through to midnight. With things just getting started this is a busy period when our Walkers and Volunteers arrive en masse! Help us make this a night to remember by choosing one of our many different roles, including Baggage, Entrance/Start Line and Water Crew. Saturday Overnight Crew – 18th May 2024 With roles based both in MoonWalk City and out on the route, this is the perfect opportunity to cheer on all of our wonderful Walkers. Plus, if you have any friends or family taking on the challenge, a hug and a cheer from a friendly face goes a long way and even watch them cross the Finish Line! With MoonWalk City based roles starting around 10 PM through to 6 AM Sunday morning. Start times on the route vary between 7 –11 PM, depending on what part of the route you are based, and last on average 8 hours. Roles include Route Marshal, Water Station and Cyclist. Transport is provided from Clapham Common. Sunday Morning Crew –19th May 2024 These early birds support our Walkers towards the end of their journey... the most testing and inspirational part of their challenge! Starting around 6 AM through to midday; roles include Route Marshal, Finish Line and Clean & Recycle Team.
