Our volunteers work on a one to one basis teaching young people with poor reading skills to improve their reading using a synthetic phonics approach.

We partner with local primary schools in the Woking area focusing on those where our support will make the biggest difference to their students. The days on which our Charity operates our reading programme are Tuesday’s and Thursday’s mornings each week during term time. (09.15 to 12.00 hours)

Training will be provided and volunteers will be expected to attend a one day online training programme.

All volunteers will have to obtain an enhanced Disclosure & Barring check (DBS) - the cost as a volunteer is provided at no charge.
