Hands-On Trustee required

VOLUNTEER TRUSTEE WANTED: 

Support Mental Health in Surrey! 

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your local community? 

GIVE, Surrey is looking for a hands-on Volunteer Trustee to join our small, friendly, volunteer-led team!

We are an award-winning community group dedicated to supporting local mental health and wellbeing through early interventions and community activities. As our Trustee you will play a vital role in keeping our small charity healthy, compliant, and ready to grow.

Time Commitment: Low! Just 2 to 4 hours per month (including brief in person board meetings).

Location: Flexible / Woking-based (mix of remote and local catch-ups).

What you’ll do:

Our trustees provide strategic oversight, good governance, and clear decision making so the team can focus on delivering support to residents who need it most. 

This includes:

●Shaping strategy and ensuring the charity stays true to its mission.  

●Governance, safeguarding compliance, policies, and proportionate processes.  

●Support the founder.  

●Ensuring Give remains stable, safe, and well run.  

●Representing Give and our work positively in their networks and communities.

What we’re looking for:

We need someone who is organised, comfortable managing simple budgets, and passionate about mental health support. 

What skills do I need?

As a small charity we need trustee candidates who have some time to be more hands on than trustee roles in established larger charities may be, to help with activities such as writing fundraising applications, or policy documents. A couple of hours a month in addition to trustee meetings is all that is needed, but obviously those with more time to give would also be welcomed.
