Unit Helper

Girlguiding is a the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK, we are looking for a unit leader to support a brownie group with girls aged 7-10 years old. We hold our meetings through out term time through out the year at The Generation Centre in Goldsworth Park, Woking. As it is a voluntary position, we understand that you may not be available every week however would be looking for someone who can commit to as many weeks as possible. Brownies have a variety of badges that they can work towards and so each week is full of fun and exciting, age appropriate crafts and activities. Unit helpers are an essential part to ensure that the meeting runs smoothly, supporting the unit leader with the activities planned, supporting the girls each week and playing games. Each unit has between 12 – 25 girls, all of different capabilities. Alongside helping the girls, there is a chance to also meet new friends, we at Goldsworth Park guiding have a large number of adults helpers at the different units and meet regularly socially.

What skills do I need?

We are ideally looking for someone to support us on a Friday evening, from 6:00 – 7:30pm. However we do have units on a Monday and Tuesday if Friday is not appropriate
