Volunteer Woking have been thrilled with the number of businesses who have enquired about corporate volunteering recently and we thoroughly enjoy placing corporate volunteers with wonderful charities, schools and community groups in and around the Woking Borough.

Not only do corporate volunteering days offer great benefits to businesses but they also create a huge impact on the organisations that they help.

LinkAble are one of the charities that have benefitted from the help of corporate volunteers, so much so that they have now managed to achieve all their outstanding projects for the year! LinkAble are a local charity passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live joyful and purpose-driven lives.

Alison Keeley, LinkAble CEO, said, “if you had asked me at the start of the year if I thought we would have all of the projects around the building sorted by the summer, I wouldn’t have thought it was possible!” she continued “We are thrilled that they are all local Woking companies, so thank you Volunteer Woking for sending them our way. Corporate volunteering is vital for LinkAble. It makes a tangible difference to our work, raises our profile in the local area and frees up funds and time for us to use elsewhere, so we really couldn’t be happier.”

Volunteer Woking are really happy that we have been able to help this wonderful charity in this way and look forward to many more opportunities to do so.

If you are interested in corporate volunteering or if you are a charity or school looking for corporate volunteers, then please email volunteer@woking.gov.uk to discuss further.
