About Rainbow Trust When a child is diagnosed with a life-threatening or terminal illness, family life is turned upside down. Rainbow Trust pairs these families with a dedicated, expert Family Support Worker to provide custom practical and emotional support. As we rely heavily on the creativity and passion of our community, your fundraising efforts will directly help us deliver a vital lifeline to families in need. Purpose of the Role This role is all about your own fundraising initiatives. Whether you want to bake, run, test people's trivia knowledge, or style a catwalk, the choice is yours! This is your chance to raise awareness and essential funds for Rainbow Trust in your local area. Key Responsibilities You have the freedom to choose how you fundraise. Your focus will be planning and running independent activities, such as: *Hosting Social Fundraisers: Organising community events like charity bake sales, coffee mornings, or quiz nights. *Organising Special Initiatives: Coordinating larger projects such as a local fashion show, talent nights, or themed dinner. *Taking on Personal Challenges: Completing sponsored runs, walks, or cycles and rallying your network for sponsorships. *Sourcing Local Support: Reaching out to local businesses for raffle prizes, venue space, or match-funding. *Promoting Your Activities: Spreading the word through local social media, posters, and word-of-mouth. Support, Training, and Resources We don’t expect you to do it alone! To help make your fundraising a massive success, we provide: *Fundraising Pack & Materials: Rainbow Trust banners, collection buckets, t-shirts, balloons, digital graphics and a direct contact at Rainbow Trust. Ready to get started? You don't need a fully formed plan yet! Just bring your enthusiasm, and we will help you find the best activity to suit your time and talents. *To find out more or ask any questions, contact us at: Volunteering@rainbowtrust.org.uk
