For Interventions Alliance
This opportunity focuses on our new Surrey Drive Project, a response to domestic abuse that aims to reduce the number of child and adult victims of domestic abuse. Drive implements a whole system approach through intensive individual case management, supported by volunteers, to drive perpetrators to change their behaviour. Volunteers provide practical and emotional support to help individuals set personal goals, support risk management and help people feel more in control of their lives. The role is based in our Woking office once a week with the option to work in the community
Ability to listen effectively and communicate with others Ability to keep commitments and/or appointments Ability to use own initiative to identify and access relevant resources Share information appropriately within boundaries of confidentiality Capacity to understand and work within necessary guidance to ensure both yourself and the participant understand your professional relationship. Ability to demonstrate positive behavior providing a good role model to participants through pro-social modelling. Be non-judgmental, open minded and self-aware Knowledge of basic IT skills Ability to encourage and allow people to make their own choices and decisions
