For Canalside Community Fridge CIC (CCF)
As a community fridge we are part of a growing movement that is taking action to reduce food waste. Through our social media platforms, we are aiming to gain support for our activity and raise awareness in our local community. We are looking for a Social Media and Communications volunteer to promote the fridge on a weekly basis and create new interesting posts about the work of our volunteers, any content related to reducing waste and eating and preparing good food and the related activity of our partner Hubbub and our local partners which include the Shifa Foundation, who run the fridge on a Wednesday, those who support us signposting people to the fridge, including Citizens Advice and the Trussell Trust and the stores we collect from: Co-op, Sainsbury's, Aldi, Asda, Lidl, Gail's Bakery.
computer literate (able to use google drive, all social media platforms, Microsoft 365) experienced at creating posts for social media accounts. good at working on your own initiative and producing content without direction. attention to detail. Able to edit and proofread own posts. able to create graphics and other images for content. preferably experience of using social media management tools such as Hootsuite. flexible, able to post on a Sunday and Tuesday evening and a Monday and Wednesday morning.
